Effa, a GreenTech startup from Ukraine, signed an agreement with the Finnish-Swedish timber industry multinational Stora Enso. The renewable materials company will be Effa’s new production partner.
Effa recently completed a startup acceleration program at Starta Accelerator in New York, Batch #6.
Stora Enso, an international corporation with 10 billion euros in revenue, hosted an event on the Circular Economy in Helsinki in November. Effa, along with five other companies, was selected for a partnership out of hundreds of others from all over the world.
“We got a large manufacturer with certified high-tech factories around the world and a powerful brand as our partner. Over the next three months, we will work as a team to develop and implement the process of manufacturing, storing and delivering disposable eco-friendly Effa brushes,” says Daria Vasilenko, co-founder of Effa. The first batch of brushes, produced in partnership with Stora Enso, is expected in January, followed by the launch of mass production.
Stora Enso is developing partnerships with startups, striving to stay at the forefront of technology and launch new ideas that may eventually turn into mass production projects. Thus, the Scandinavian corporation highly appraised the growth prospects of Effa and the demand for its product.
